The 3rd SOCAR International Caspian and Central Asia Downstream Forum – Trading, Logistics, Refining, Petrochemicals commemorating the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev`s 95th anniversary ended in Baku.

The event has brought together more than 230 participants from 30 countries. Nearly 40 speakers from 30 countries made presentations and provided an overview of petrochemical industry in Azerbaijan and other Caspian countries, prices and target markets for oil and oil products, and gas production prospects and export routes.

Refining and Petrochemical industry of the Caspian and Central Asia Conference which is a part of the annual SOCAR Downstream Caspian and Central Asia Forum also also took place these days in Baku. The Conference has been developed as a networking platform for refiners and petrochemical industry representatives with technology and equipment suppliers, contractors and customers. Refiners and petrochemical producers spoke on the current status of their companies and new projects, their future plans, the technical and economic challenges they face. The programme featured technical visits to the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery and Sumgait Petrochemical Facilities.
